In loving memory of Richard “Diz” Desautels

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn his passing on February 12, 2024 in Milton, Vermont.

Diz had a remarkable journey throughout his life, leaving an indelible mark on the world after completing his education, he felt a calling to serve his country and join the Marines.

Beyond his military service this had a variety of interest in hobbies that brought him immense joy. He found solace in the tranquility of nature spending countless hours fishing and hunting. Diz also enjoy dressing up and playing Santa Claus during the holidays and seeing the joy that it brought to the children.

Diz had a deep love for his family and was a pillar of support and strength whether it was attending school events, sporting games, or offering a listening ear during tough times his unwavering presence was a constant source of comfort and guidance

Diz's departure has left a void that cannot be filled. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Diz is survived by his loving family, including his children, sisters, extended family and his granddaughter.

May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all those whose lives he touched rest in peace you will be forever missed.

A Funeral Mass for Diz will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 10 am. It will be held at St Francis Xavier Church in Winooski,  Vermont.
